Walk for a Nuclear-Free Future – 2010 Northern Route, which was initiated by Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Order, will be visiting the UU Church of Cortland this Friday! Come to our First Friday Potluck and bring a little extra for our guests. Dinner starts at 6 pm.
The group is walking from Western New York to the United Nations in New York City, March 7 – May 2, 2010, for a total of 700 miles. Each step will be a prayer toward a nuclear-free future. See their route and more details in this pdf document.
The group will be staying at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Cortland on Friday, April 2. They will be joining us for our First Friday potluck at 6 pm, and at 7 pm they will host a circle discussion for any who are interested in learning about what they mean by a Nuclear Free Future.
